Q&A

When should I arrive in Maui?

That is up to you! Our wedding will take place on May 8th, but we hope that you can join us at our welcome party at the Hyatt Regency Maui. If you plan to attend the welcome party, we recommend arriving in Maui the morning of May 7th.

When should I book my accommodations?

The cutoff date to book through the room block is April 4, 2025. However, we recommend booking well in advance to secure your spot and take advantage of pre and post discounted rates. Access the booking link on the Accommodations page.

What is the best way to get around the island of Maui?

Rental cars and Ubers/taxis are available throughout the island. Note: Ubers may be limited, so we recommend renting a car (especially if you plan to explore the island).

What are my transportation options to the wedding venue?

A complimentary shuttle is available for all wedding guests. The shuttle will depart promptly from the Hyatt Regency Maui Group Entrance at 3:00pm HST. Please arrive no later than 2:45pm HST at the Group Entrance. There is parking at the venue (Olowalu Plantation House), should you choose to drive directly. However, please let Jess and John know if you do not plan to use the shuttle.

What meal options will be provided at the wedding?

We have curated a menu of local flavors that will be served family style at the reception. Guests do not need to provide a meal choice. We do ask that guests list any dietary restrictions or allergies as part of their RSVP response. We will coordinate with our catering team on any accommodations.

What beverage options will be provided at the wedding?

Due to Hawaii state regulations, we are required to provide our own alcohol served at our wedding. We ask that guests list their alcohol preferences (e.g., beer/wine/liquor of choice) as part of their RSVP response to inform supply needs.

What is the recommended attire for the welcome party?

Resort Chic - consider flowy dresses, jumpsuits, matching sets, crisp button-downs, chinos, tailored shorts in sunset-inspired colors or tropical prints.

What is the recommended attire for the wedding?

Seaside Formal - consider long, flowy gown or elegant maxi dress, lightweight suit (no tie required). Light layering or shawls are smart for evening chill by the water. Opt in for dressy yet functional footwear that accommodates grassy surfaces.
