Our Wedding

Sean and I met in February of 2020. Right before the pandemic. He trained me at Bagelz before changing to the overnight shift. While he worked the overnight shift we would leave little messages to each other in the cornmeal on the bagel boards. Runescape? Terraria? Minecraft? And an assortment of other video games. We started texting and getting to know each other better. Our first time hanging out was to watch Lord of the Rings, and I went back to his house the 2 days after to watch the next movies. We started dating and quickly realized how opposite we are. He levels me out and I bring him out of his shell. It was scary at first because I didnt know if we were too opposite, but I had a feeling. We moved into the apartment in December of 2020. The plan was to not have him move in right away, but he spent the first night there and has spent every night since. For our one year anniversary he got me a promise ring with his birthstone and mine. Life continued on and Sean went away to fire camp for a month in august of 2021. Life without him in the house was weird and doable but I know I wouldnt want to do it again. In February of 2022 we welcomed our new puppy into the family. I asked Sean the night before we got her if I could call a breeder and ask what the process was. When they said Just bring cash. I looked at Sean and said Im going. The next day I drove 5 hours to PA to pick her up with my friend Healey. I returned home with her and it was obvious, this was Seans daughter. We traveled to CA for his Grandfathers funeral and I got to meet his whole family. Most importantly I was there for Sean during the tough time. His family has welcomed me into their arms like I am one of their own. We have been through a lot and he has supported me in every step I take. Im so grateful to have him in my life. On October 1st 2024 Sean proposed at Roger Williams Park. We went to the Trivia Night themed Jack-o-lantern Spectacular, and did the walk through and as we were leaving Sean said he wanted to ride the duck boats. We paddled around the lake and right as we got to the last tunnel he asked to stop the boat. He said I have one more trivia question for you. Will you marry me? Thus started the rest of our life.

Sam got put next to me in advisory and I annoyed her until she loved me. That was 16 years ago. Since then we have crashed ATVs, road tripped from Bar Harbor to Rhode Island and spent $70 on a meal for 2 at Friendlys, countless hours spent silent on the phone, Runescape, club penguin, CARL (meep), and currently have over 1000 days in streaks on snapchat. She has always been there when I need her. When my first boyfriend broke up with me, Sam may or may not have taken her mom's van (TOTALLY with permission, cough cough). She grabbed some ice cream and came straight to my house. We had sleepovers on school nights, and she tried to be my voice of reason. I am so lucky to have her in my life today, and cannot wait to have her standing next to me on my big day. 

Samantha Hunt

Jake and I have been in school together since first grade. We didn't become close until Spanish class sophomore year with Senora Ospina, and Physics in senior year. Senior year physics we really hit it off during our Wizard of Oz themed Physics Olympics projects. We both got accepted into URI and became much closer, often seeking each other out on campus to hang out. 
After URI Jake and I continued to hang out. We saw each other almost everyday, playing pokemon, driving over the reservoir, watching Pitch Perfect, and so much more. He was with my for my first legal drink and for most of them afterwards. I always told him that he and Sam would be sharing responsibilities on my special day and the fact that they're best friends as well makes it the high school reunion we always wanted.

James is Sean's oldest brother. There is an 8 year age gap, but they are super close and similar. James moved out to Rhode Island a few years before Sean. James went out to California to visit everyone and took Sean back to Rhode Island with him (Thanks James!!!) Sean lived with James in Wakefield before finding and moving in with me. One of my first memories of James is setting up his 30th Birthday party. He's a great big brother to not only Sean but me as well. It's an honor to have him in our bridal party.

Macie came to us when she was 8 weeks old. She has been the spunk that we needed in our lives. Her energy and intelligence surprises me everyday. I've never seen a dog as smart as her. Sean and I are honored that our daughter will be our flower girl.

Mia came to me at 7 months old. She got me through the darkest times of my life. Her name suits her perfectly because she's part beagle and will follow a scent right out of the yard and down the road. Sean takes care of Mia like he's been with her his whole life too. She's been though a lot and having Sean treat her right is so important and amazing to see. She was often Missing In Action at grandma's house. She has been by me for 9 years, and I can't wait to have her by my side for the biggest milestone of my life.

Kenya was my first cousin. We grew up together. Staying up all night making concoctions and listening to the Jonas Brothers. Kenya introduced me to broadway, and I’ll never forget her teaching me the songs from Chicago. This is a pretty big upgrade from the last wedding we were a part of. We were the two grumpiest flower girls who ever walked this earth. I can't imagine my wedding without her by my side.

I remember Kaitlyn being born. She’s an amazing person, and is always there for people when they need her. I’ve enjoyed watching her grow into the beautiful young woman she is today, and I can’t picture my wedding without her beside me.

Kelsey had always been one of the funniest people I know. I always look forward to what she has to say next. Watching her grow up has been such an amazing journey, and I am so grateful to have a cousin like her. I couldn't imagine this day without her (or her eyelashes).

M.J. is my youngest cousin on my mom's side. I still think of him as the little toddler who kicked my butt in wii games. He has grown into such a gentleman. He is one of the most caring, kindhearted, and thoughtful people in my life. During camping trips he makes sure I'm a part of things going on. He won't take no for an answer if he knows we'll have fun. He's always there to hold the dogs, or help set up tents. He has welcomed Sean into the family, and always includes him. We are so grateful to have MJ standing up with us on our special day. We couldn't imagine it without him. 

M.J. MacDonald

Kyle is Sean's middle brother, and is 4 years older than Sean. They grew up sharing a love of video games with one another, and is always a topic of discussion when we are all together. Kyle is really good at anything he does. DO NOT challenge him to boggle, because you WILL lose. Every time. Though there are many miles between us and Kyle, he is always around for a game of virtual reality mini golf. We are so honored to have Kyle as a party of our bridal party.
