Jessica grew up in Queens, NY. Though a city girl at heart, she always had a thirst for adventure and exploring the depths of life outside NYC. She combined her love for her profession and traveling and set off to become a travel nurse. She did not know where life would take her along this journey. However, she knew that, at some point along her adventures, she would know when it was time to call a place home. Not long after she decided to put down roots in Portland OR, love found its way into her life.

Keith grew up on a tree farm in the small town of Dundee, OR. Very much a Pacific Northwest boy he has lived in the Willamette Valley most of his life. Growing up with great access to nature influenced his connection to medicine. Through these life experiences, coupled with his late father, Dr. Bruce Dickson’s, teachings Keith returned to school and obtained a degree as a Naturopathic Medical Doctor. While he was focused intensely on his practice, an unexpected and joyous introduction to Jessica changed everything. She was the magic he was waiting for and her passion for life and adventure captivated him. Love blossomed and their exciting future is anyone’s guess...

The two were introduced by a mutual friend who decided their first meeting would be a day long double date to a few wineries through Oregon's beautiful wine country. We laughed, cheered, and sipped on delicious wine as we shared stories about each other. Who knew that this was going to be the start of forever!

Our first official date came a few weeks after. We met for brunch and then strolled the street fair on Hawthorne Blvd eventually stopping at a local bar for a drink. There we shared more stories of our childhood, what life was like growing up in NYC versus Dundee. We talked about our families, our personal interests, and life goals. Conversation was easy, light, and fun, almost as if we've known each other for years.

We've enjoyed trips throughout the country, going on adventures and learning more about what makes us, us! It is never a dull moment when we're together, and we couldn't imagine life without each other.

Keith and Jessica had talked about marriage, but Jessica was nervous to make any life changes before completing her master's degree. In May of 2024, they flew together to New York for her graduation. High on excitement after completing her degree and also feeling a huge sense of relief, Jessica had no idea that Keith was planning on proposing. Keith asked Jessica to take them to her favorite spot in Brooklyn. Just as they walked down the pier looking out over the Brooklyn Bridge, Keith got down on one knee and asked Jessica to spend forever with him. It was a beautiful and special moment we cherished together before heading home and sharing the great news with family.

We both are so excited for our future together. We are beyond grateful for all who will travel near and far to celebrate our love story!
