Their story began in the spring of 2017 when Jess and Matt met while they were both out with friends. They were on the dance floor when Matt’s friend pushed Matt into Jess. For those of you that have had the privilege to witness his dance moves, you will know why she couldn’t keep her eyes off of him. Matt asked Jess for her number and they texted for a few days. Matt then asked her to go to dinner and a movie with him. She accepted but told one of her friends that she didn’t know if she really wanted to stay for the movie, so she would tell him that she had to study. During dinner, Jess decided that she wanted to spend more time with Matt and they went to the movie together. Their first kiss would seal the deal to continue on their adventure.

Both Matt and Jess felt a deep connection fairly early on, and within a short time they each thought they had found “the one”. They continued to date and found that they both shared love of travel, country music, and spending time with friends. In the summer of 2020, they found a solid foundation filled with love and support for one another, as each supposed one another through school and career changes. It was this time in their journey that Matt knew that he had to make this official.

Matt proposed to Jessica the summer of 2021 at the Pineapple Fountain in Charleston, South Carolina. SHE SAID YES!! In 2022, another leg of their journey began when they built their first home and welcomed their first fur-baby…Peyton. After being abandoned in a dumpster, Matt and Jess fell involve with this cuddly pup who would quickly complete their family. They are thrilled to have Peyton apart of their love story and can’t wait to see what their future holds. Both feel blessed that they have the love and support from their families and friends along the way.
