When should we arrive to Playa del Carmen?
We have planned festivities from Thursday-Sunday, with the first being a Welcome Party on Thursday March 3rd starting around 8pm. We suggest that you plan for your flight to arrive at least 3 hours before then to give enough time to go through customs, make the trip to Mayakoba, and check in before the margaritas start flowing! If you can't make it by Thursday, no sweat! We're excited if you can join us for any of the days (just keep in mind the same timing in terms of arriving to the airport).
How do we get to the hotel from the airport?
The ride from Cancun airport to Banyan Tree will take about 40-45 mins. It is best if you organize a car service well ahead of time to take you to the hotel, as the taxis are overly expensive. For your convenience, we have organized a group rate with BIM. Schedule your car here:

How do I book my room?
We have a room block at Banyan Tree Mayakoba and will be sending out a custom link with the room block rate once we have RSVPs.
Is the resort all-inclusive?
No, Banyan Tree is not all-inclusive; however, there are several great restaurants within the Banyan Tree resort and the surrounding Mayakoba hotels that you can dine at during your stay (reservations recommended).
How do I get around Mayakoba?
Banyan Tree Mayakoba provides complimentary golf cart service! They will come to your villa and drive you anywhere you want in Mayakoba (beach, restaurants, other Mayakoba hotels, etc). Each villa also includes bicycles that you can take anywhere yourself.
If you are in any other resort in Mayakoba, you can ask in their lobby for golf cart services to have them take you back to Banyan Tree.
Is it OK to drink the water?
So long as you are in the resort, it is generally okay to drink the water that is served to you. The Mayakoba resorts purify their water and ice and provide you with plenty of water bottles in your room. Brushing your teeth with the water should be fine too.
However, we would recommend ordering water bottles when outside of the Mayakoba community.
What is the dress code?
Formal/cocktail attire will be required for the wedding and reception. All other festivities (Welcome Party + Boat Party) will be beach casual.
Can I bring my kids?
While we love your kids, this wedding is adults only. We can help
with arranging child care services at the hotel for the evening of the wedding, if necessary.
