Please note that the rooms available on Wednesday and Thursday are limited and may not be available at your time of booking. If you wish to stay longer than the block dates, you can book a separate reservation contact the hotel and advise them of the two reservations, so you don’t have to check out the room.
For our out-of-town visitors traveling by air to Alaska, thank you for making the long trip!
For flying into Anchorage, please use Anchorage International Airport. Airport Code ANC or PANC.
In the summer months, all major air carriers fly into Anchorage.
Google Flights is a great tool to check schedules and prices.
For our out-of-town guests, we would recommend renting a car, especially if you wish to explore Anchorage and the surrounding area before or after the wedding.
Anchorage airport has all the major rental car companies, and we would recommend renting a car sooner rather than later. The summer months are very competitive, and the rental car companies will sell-out throughout the summer.
Transportation Please Uber or drive yourself to the Wedding Ceremony. Transportation will be provided to the reception venue following the details below. As parking is extremely limited at Opa’s Garden, we ask our guests to Uber or drive to Benny Benson School parking lot (directly across from the Botanical Gardens) at 4515 Campbell Airstrip Road. From there, shuttle transport (2 buses) will take you up to Opa’s Garden at 6064 Kalmia Drive from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. If you need extra accommodations and need to drive to the reception venue, please park on the road or at the nearby hiking trail parking lot. Please reserve this space for handicap and car seat vehicles. The Reception, with hors devours and drinks, will start shortly after 5:30pm. It is approximately a 10-minute shuttle ride. Festivities start shortly after, around 6:15 pm. At the end of the evening, we will have one bus shuttling guests down the mountain back to the parking lot from 9 pm to 12 am (midnight).
1) If you like scenic drives, we suggest driving to Seward, Hatcher Pass, or Girdwood. Most of the fantastic views of Alaska are when you leave Anchorage.
2) There are many hikes around Anchorage, including Eklutna Lake, Flattop, Nearpoint, the Dome hike, Rabbit Lakes, or Honeybear. We suggest downloading the AllTrails app to preview what you are about to do.
3) For those 21 and older, you can check out the Blue Fox On Tudor, which is where Aaron and Jessica had their first date.
4) Recommended restaurants: South, Spenard Roadhouse, Snow City (breakfast), Rustic Goat, Ginger, Simon and Seafords, Mooses Tooth, and Bears Tooth (we recommend getting a reservation due to the summer tourist season). If you go to Girdwood, we recommend Jack Spratt or Seven Glaciers for the view.
5) We are blessed to have great trails in Anchorage. Check out the Coastal Trail and rent bikes in Downtown Anchorage.
6) Outside-the-box excursions include a float plane site-seeing trip from Lake Hood or a Helicopter tour from Girdwood.
