Both Jess and Lucas went to the same elementary school starting in 1st grade. They knew of each other and were friends but who knew what they had coming!

All the way back in Junior year of high school, Lucas really wanted a cute Homecoming date. Thankfully, Jess fit the bill and said yes! After homecoming the rest is history and they officially started dating two weeks after the Junior year Homecoming dance!

Senior year prom! High school is a long forgotten memory but thankfully Jess and Lucas were able to make it through the emotional ups and downs of a high school relationship!

High school graduation, both Lucas and Jess decided to attend the University of Wisconsin. Jessica for genetics and pre-med track and Lucas for engineering. On to bigger and better things!

Go Badgers! Lucas and Jess spent many hours partying, studying, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers during their college tenure. After graduation Jess spent a year at the NIH in Washington D.C. while Lucas finished up his degree.

In 2020, during the thick of the pandemic, Jess decided to move back to Madison to begin medical school at her Alma Mater. Lucas graduated with a bachelors degree in chemical engineering and was able to take a job in Madison. They were both very happy to be living in the same city again!

In December of last year Lucas finally proposed! Notice the connection to a specific other event 9 years ago?
