November 09, 2019
Gavin and I met on October 6, 2019. Gavin and I both were asked to go on a trip to the Atlanta United Soccer game. I was going for a Columbus State University work trip, and Gavin was asked by his friend, Mason, to come with him. That day we both did not feel like going anymore, but I am sure glad we did. I was rushing from a lunch with friends and was unable to get a box for my pizza, so I walked onto the bus for the soccer game with two slices of pizza in my hands (the pizza had broccoli on it), my backpack, my laptop, and a pillow. During this time I was working three jobs and had to use every second I had to study and/or sleep. Gavin saw me and decided to come sit behind me on the bus. We didn't say a word to each other till we got to the game. We finally started talking thanks to our Atlanta United apparel, and both knowing Mason. We got separated at the game. However, on the way home we talked the entire two hours. We both knew something clicked, and Gavin asked for my number.
I ended up getting the flu, and was super busy with school and my 3 jobs. So, we ended up not going on our first date for almost 3 weeks! On our first date Gavin took me to Old Chicago for dinner (he thought it would be funny) then bowling (which I won), and then we went to see the Joker because we did not want the night to end.
After our 2nd date I knew that Gavin was different. I started to tell my friends that Gavin may be my person.
Our official anniversary date is November 9th because Gavin took me to the Georgia football game. During this game I met Gavin's dad and future step-mom, Bryan and Sanna. Gavin and I had not discussed if we were officially dating yet, but Bryan introduced me as Gavin's girlfriend, so we rolled with it. Since then it has been our dating anniversary!
