Since everyone knows there are two sides to every story, we thought it was best for us to tell “our story” in our own words.
From Randall...
"I was kind of new to the dating app world, but that's the way things seemed to be trending, so I asked around and I was introduced to Plenty of Fish. The sea stretches far and wide and Jill was my Nemo. Dating apps were fairly new so I didn't know what to expect. She seemed nice from our conversations and the pictures she sent. She had the most beautiful eyes, so I was excited to say the least. We had plans to meet up for a bite and some drinks just to see if we were compatible, but as we got closer to the time we were supposed to meet, she kept pushing back the time and I felt like she was trying to back out. I called her and she told me that she had a habit of always being late, so I was considering this to be the red flag. To my surprise, I got a text saying she was on her way (2 hours late I might add). The Mets were in the playoffs, and I didn't want to miss the game, so I chose Millers Ale House as the spot. As she walked in, I was immediately impressed. She was sharply dressed, hair and nails done, everything on point and those eyes were piercing! I couldn’t stop staring. We had great conversation and I felt we had connected on some level (plus the Mets won so it was a win win). As we walked out, I felt I wanted to continue the night. I didn't realize it was so late but then again she didn't show up until 9pm. I felt compelled to kiss her so I did just that. I suggested we go somewhere else, she agreed and followed me (she actually raced me there) and that’s when I said to myself “this chick is cool”! We went to a dive bar near me and every hour that went by I just kept thinking to myself how amazing Jill was. We stayed until closing and literally got kicked out. We sat in my car and kept the conversation going until after 4am. I didn't want the night to end so I asked for a second date, and she said yes. I knew she felt the vibe as well. We were inseparable from that moment on. We saw each other almost every single day after that. Three weeks in we decided it was time to take a trip. We booked a beautiful place upstate with majestic views topped with unbelievable foliage. When we reached our destination, we settled in, and I played a song that will forever be ours. As we slowed danced, we looked into each other's eyes, and it was at that moment that I believe we both knew “the best is yet to come”. I felt something I had never felt before, and the rest ladies and gentlemen... is history"
From Jill…
"We met online and after a few days of texting back & forth, he asked me to meet him for the first time at Millers Ale House so he could watch the Mets game. I'm a Yankees fan, so needless to say, I didn’t rush to get there haha. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the conversation went. His quick wit and undeniable charm piqued my interest. At one point I noticed a scar on his arm and asked him how he got it, to which he replied, I was wrestling with my cousin in Arizona and was bit by a scorpion! I literally said oh wow, I'm a Scorpio! This is meant to be! (a year later I found out he doesn’t have a cousin in AZ and was never bitten by a scorpion lol). We ended up talking for hours until 4am, and after I got home, he had already texted me asking me out to dinner the following night for an official date. We were inseparable from that that moment on. A few weeks later we booked a quick weekend getaway to a Bed & Breakfast in upstate NY. One of the nights we were there, he played a song on his speaker, and we slow danced in the room in front of the fireplace and it was in that moment it dawned on me that I was totally falling in love with him. It's now our song and we still slow dance to it every so often in our apartment. As I'm sure you all know, Randall's personality is larger than life and not a day goes by that he doesn’t make me laugh. We always have fun no matter what we do, whether we're away on vacation or just sitting at home on the couch watching Netflix. When I had some health issues, he was literally my rock! The way he supported and took care of me was second to none. I knew this was the man I wanted to marry and spend the rest of my life with. I know he will protect me and make sure that no matter what, I'm ok. It took a few years for him to pop that question, but I believe everything happened just the way it was supposed to. He is my best friend, and we love each other unconditionally, flaws and all!"
