Jim and Fran met by chance on a dating website (no, not Tinder) and started seeing each other in October 2016- although the actual day is still a debate.

A first date of bowling and TGIFridays led to a love and high energy dating whirlwind that still continues today. Jim was enamored with how Frances was able to be so full of energy and how her batteries never ever seemed to run low, which still continues today!

Jim was a little skeptical about dating a for real grandmother...but nothing about Frances could be connected to any grandmother he knew, aside from a fierce love of her amazing granddaughters.

Jim was quickly indoctrinated into the Filipino culture of endless parties, overcooking for the crowd, homemade eggrolls, the love of Joe Koy, lechon and of course, Karaoke.

Frances was immediately drawn to how Jim always made his family the priority - and his never-ending kindness toward others. At the time Jim was a single dad with 3 teens and made no secret about the fact he was a dad first.

Frances was patient and understanding and felt there was something special about this guy. As though God had plan for them to be together. She felt Jim was thoughtful; and (reasonably) mature and seemed to have his act together in being able to balance his priorities. His boundless positivity, generosity and caring, was exactly what Frances needed at that time in her life.

As time went on, they realized there was a lot in common and their time together became more frequent and meaningful.

Jim was eventually 'adopted' by Fran's incredible daughter Ariel and her amazing 2 grand babies who now call him- Lolo Jim.

Jim's kids have great fun with Frances and they are happy they now have someone they can do 'shots' with when they visit. They love her cooking and how Fran takes care of their old man.
