Joe and Tori spotted each other at a New Years Day Brunch held by Tori's own bridesmaid, Jaime Dix. While they did officially meet on New Year's Day, nothing really came of it. They went their separate ways and that was that... or so they thought.

January 1 2020

On a random Wednesday night, fate intervened. Tori, after having a rough day at work, reached out to her friend who, conveniently enough, happened to be none other than Jaime Dix! "Soooooo, Sail?" Tori asked, to which Jaime (probably) replied, "Hell yeah, brother." The two ordered dinner and drinks while an unsuspecting Joe was playing pool at the Muddy Beaver with some friends. Hungry, Joe decided he should go to Sail Inn for their pizza and beer special. Joe walked into Sail and to the surprise of all of his friends, immediately started chatting up Tori, sharing her shrimp, buying her drinks, and really putting the mack down. Long story short... Beers, Shrimp, Pizza, and Shots -- Joe and Tori are the best things since sliced bread.

Didn't go as planned but some great out of town friends helped planned a great evening full of impromptu decisions and help still pull it off.. Joe popped the question in downtown Dallas with beers along with great friend's.

From ceiling titty vines to up close and personal seats for Hamilton on Broadway, this friendship has seen a lot. My ride or die if ride or die means eating an early dinner in order to be in bed by 9pm so we can watch tiktoks and giggle as we send them to each other as we lay less than 15ft apart.

From being mistaken for a student in my class to dodging runaway rats in Baltimore City parking garages, this friendship is a shining light in my life. I’m grateful for the love and support we have for each other, especially when that support looks like you repeating what you say 15 times because I don’t have great listening skills.

From the “sooooo sail” to the cheering each other on at our respective finish lines, Jaime and I have almost 20 years of friendship and only 8 pictures of us together. A big “hell yeah brother” to the MILEstones we celebrate with each other.

Hello Everyone , members of the wedding party will be staying here before and after the wedding. This hotel was formerly the Staybridge Suites, however it is has been completely renovated and changed branding to Residence Inn by Marriott. The wedding group rate is good for Wednesday and Thursday or just Thursday. More details to come later on possible shuttle between the venue and hotel.
