It was August 31st, 2016 when I chose 19-year-old, Joey Gale as my partner in Intro to Christian Thought with Maeve Callan at Simpson College. I had just transferred to Simpson for our Sophomore year of college. I remember thinking he was so cute and I wanted him to be my partner. He made me do the assignment though because he was leaving to go to Wisconsin for the first regular season football game that year. Plot twist- he still had a girlfriend at the time. But don't worry, they broke it off soon after.

Fast forward a month. October 2nd, 2016, we went on our first double date to Chili's because a couple set us up to go with them.

We had fun watching each other play sports. Joey played football and I played basketball and softball at the time. We would go to Bingo nights, hang out in Buxton or Picken, get late night food, and got to know each other. Joey asked me to come over and watch Walker (his 1st nephew, 6 mo. at the time).

On January 5th, 2017, Joey asked me to be his girlfriend. (He is my 1st boyfriend well since 8th grade). We have been inseparable ever since.

We graduated from Simpson together in May of 2019.

We got an apartment together in Johnson shortly after.

We adopted an Aussie-Corgi, Rosie from the ARL in September of 2019.

We bought a house in Ankeny in June of 2020.

We got engaged at Saylorville Lake in Ankeny in June of 2022.

We moved to Tampa, Florida in September of 2022.

We currently live in St. Petersburg, Florida and are enjoying being on the beach with Rosie.
