The plan is to continue with the wedding outdoors at the Gillett’s at this time. If it’s pouring rain tomorrow, we may move to our alternate location at the Family Life Center at the Rolla Church of Christ. If that needs to happen you will receive another email alerting you to the change. If you don’t hear anything, there will be no changes. Thank you for your patience. Feel free to wear comfy closed-toed shoes if you prefer to not get your feet wet!

Our Wedding

J&M JL and Meredith have been a part of one another's lives for over 10 years. While growing up, they were often together during theatre productions, Sunday night youth group, co-ops, and homeschool dances or sport events. Early in the friendship, the two of them were often in vigorous competition, or intense debates as teasing was their favorite thing to do to one another. Eventually, during a game of Tenzi (as JL recalls) they bonded, overcame their differences and became friends over the most important thing to their 12-year-old selves: mutual love for Star Wars. They began spending more time with each other and their friendship blossomed. In the fall of 2019, best friends became their new title, but best friends turned into more, and they quickly fell for one another. A very long, awkward-flirting-filled year later, they started dating and have been attached at the hip ever since. With college, long-distance, and months spent apart, they've stuck together hand-in-hand through it all.  JL *finally* proposed in August during a quiet evening date on the shore of little prairie lake. After what seems like an eternity, they are finally counting down the days till they get to say “I do!” and permanently join their lives together in front of all their friends and family!

We kindly ask you to submit your RSVP by the first week of May. Please refrain from bringing any additional guests not included on your RSVP. Additionally, we are opting for a child-free wedding. This is due to our limited ceremony and reception space, we want to ensure there is enough room for all friends and family!
