Located in the nation's smallest national park, the St. Louis Gateway Arch is the largest Arch in the world! Enjoy a stroll around the Arch Park, learn some history in the free museum, or, for the brave ones, take a $15 tram ride to the top and see St. Louis from a different perspective. A must see when visiting STL!
A personal favorite of ours. The best part about this zoo, aside from the animals, is that it's absolute free! Parking in designated lots is $15, but, if you are willing to walk, there is plenty of free parking nearby. Be sure to check out the Monkeys, Insectarium, and the Penguins!
An incredible collection of classical and contemporary art. Another gem located in Forest Park that has an admission fee of $0. Explore 3 floors of art and exhibits broken into Asian, European, Contemporary, Ancient, and many more sections. Did somebody say Mummy? Check out the top floor Egyptian exhibit for a look at some real life Mummies! Parking is $15 in the Museum itself, but again there is free parking nearby throughout the park.
The only thing on this list with an admission fee and it's worth every penny! Explore 79 acres of this beautiful garden populated with horticulture from around the globe. Walk through the Climatron, take the kids to the massive playground, or just enjoy the scenery at the Botanical Garden. Admission is $14 and parking is free. The garden is also walking distance from the wedding venue in Tower Grove Park.
Known as the "Heart of St. Louis", Forest Park once hosted the Olympics and the World's Fair. Forest Park is two times as large as NYC's central park and is home to numerous trails, attractions, and even a golf course. It's a great place to explore when you have free time!
