Where do I park for the mass?

For the wedding Mass, there is parking in the lot behind the church and additional parking across the street at Stanley Quarter Park. If both those lots are full then feel free to park anywhere in the neighborhood surrounding the church.

Where do I park for the reception?

For those staying at the hotel overnight at the Delamar, valet parking is offered complimentary at the entrance the hotel. For all others, parking is available at two parking garages in Blue Back Square. Memorial Garage and Isham Garage are both very close to the hotel. Those with a handicap sign may use the valet at the Delamar Hotel.

What should I expect at a Catholic Mass?

If you haven’t been in a while, or are unfamiliar with a Catholic Mass, here are a few things you can expect. Expect the Mass to last from 60-90 minutes. We will exchange vows after the readings and homily, so you won’t see the classic “you may kiss the bride” moment until the end of the Mass. Please refrain from clapping during Mass, you will have an opportunity to congratulate us at the end!

What should I wear to a Catholic Mass?

Please wear what you would to the reception or another formal event. Women should consider bringing a shawl or shrug to cover their shoulders in church if their dress has thin straps or is strapless. Please be mindful of the length of dresses and refrain from mini-skirts. Men should wear dress pants, or a suit.

Can children come?

We have many children who mean a lot to us so we want them with us! All children are welcome to our wedding Mass. Children invited to the reception will be listed on the invitation.

Can I bring a date to the wedding?

Unfortunately, we're not able to allow all of our guests to bring a guest of their own. All those invited to the reception are listed on the invitation and plus ones are by invitation only. We can’t wait to celebrate our marriage with you, no matter if you come on your own or with a guest!

What is there to do during the break?

Since we’re having a Catholic Mass and then going to the reception hall, there will be a small break between the two events. Fortunately, the reception is located in a beautiful part of West Hartford. Feel free to park and explore Blue Back square and West Hartford Center; grab a drink at a local restaurant or bar, or go for a walk.
