Our Wedding

Our story begins like many others today… online! After our paths crossed multiple times at various church events, it took a dating app to finally get us on a date together. On our first date, we realized we had met on more than one occasion and immediately connected over mutual acquaintances and shared experiences. After a few months of dating, we made things official and began seeking God's will for our relationship. John moved to Middletown to have his own place closer to work and conveniently nearer to Bonnie in West Hartford. We continued to grow closer, sharing our lives, meeting each other's families and friends. From attending weddings and baptisms to becoming godparents to friends' children, our bond deepened. After two and a half years of living life and discerning our future, John landed a new job in Jacksonville, Florida! In May, John moved into temporary housing, and together we began exploring the area. It was there that John proposed during our exploration of our new home city along the St. John’s River after nearly five days of settling in. Now, we're embarking on this exciting new chapter in our lives together. We're thrilled to move to the Sunshine State and establish our home. We're deeply grateful to all who have supported us over the years and who will continue to do so in our marriage. We can't wait to celebrate with each of you and express our heartfelt thanks for all you've done in our lives!

Just a two minute walk from Blue Back Square, walk up to Farmington Avenue and explore the West Hartford Center. Enjoy the area and visit any one of the great restaurants for a quick drink or snack before the reception begins.

One of our favorite places for a drink. It’s a small local restaurant with tons of wine and delicious food. Located in walking distance from the hotel, stop in for a quick drink and try their wide variety of wines.
