Is the wedding inside or outside?

The ceremony is planned to take place outside at the venue next to Lake Irving, rain or shine! The reception will be indoors at the Rail River Folk School with a deck and outdoor space.

What should I wear?

Our wedding is semi-formal/semi-casual. Wear something that you feel comfortable in and dress for the weather! Our color palette is loosely bohemian jewel tones (Deeper greens, purple, orange (rust), burgundy) to wear something colorful if you'd like!

What's for dinner?

Following the ceremony we will have a social hour with food to follow. We are having Qdoba Mexican Eats catered and serving it up buffet style: Burrito bowls and tacos. This meal is not vegan so if you have this dietary restriction, please let us know as soon as possible! As this is buffet style, you can prepare you meal vegetarian.

How about snacks?

There will be chips with salsa, queso, guac, and other snacks available as well as pizza planned later in the evening.

Will there be alcohol?

While we entertained the idea of a dry wedding, we have decided to bring in bar service. Knob and Kettle out of Laporte, MN will be providing a cash-bar. There are no drink tickets planned to be allotted.

Transportation?

One area Bemidji lacks is transportation. The nearest hotel is greater than a mile away (although it is a lovely walk). Bemidji has Lyft as well as a taxi service that can be utilized (though can be unreliable). Carpooling is a great option as well!

What's there to do?

Paid: Boardwalk Minigolf: minigolf and food Hatchet House of Bemidji: Axe throwing, darts, shuffleboard, food. If you're in town longer than the wedding, Unicon: The World Unicycling Convention and Championship is a two-week event taking place in Bemidji that begins on July 14th.

Bathroom Availability

There is one bathroom in the rail river folk school that is all-gender. We will also have a porta-potty on-site.

Handicap Accessibility

The venue and bathroom are handicap accessible. The primary entrance we will be using is not, though there is another entrance that is. While the building is accessible, it's not the most friendly, as it is an old structure.

Parking

The venue has a small dirt lot as well as street parking if needed.
