There are so many fun things to do in Orange County. Here are some of our favorites....

1. Visit the Mission at San Juan Capistrano. It is a beautiful historic mission founded in 1775 and is considered the birthplace of Orange County. We encourage you to check it out before the party. It is within walking distance from the venue.

2. Take an ocean-view or beach walk. Some of the best spots are in Dana Point Harbor, Laguna Beach, the San Clemente Pier, or Crystal Cove State Park.

We also love Salt Creek State Park. It is an easy walk along the ocean where you can see surfers and then BONUS you can stop in for a drink at the gorgeous Ritz Carlton patio. Parking is also easy and cheap!

3. Take a hike. We recommend Top of the World, the Dana Point Headlands Trail, Back Bay Loop Trail in Newport, or the Sea Summit Trails above San Clemente. All have ocean views and wildflowers!

4. Visit Carlsbad's Flower Fields. You will see thousands of Giant Ranunculous in bloom in this 50 acre farm. Walk through the rows of colors. Make sure to buy your tickets ahead of time, as it is really popular.

5. Swig a beer (or two) at one of the many fabulous local breweries. One of our favorites is Docent Brewing (conveniently located in San Juan Capistrano). Another very fun one is the sprawling Brewery X in Anaheim.

6. Go golfing at one of the many beautiful courses in the area. It is probably best to plan to golf on Monday if you are hoping that Jon will join you.
