Over ten years ago, two TCNJ freshman entered their first college class, Calculus for Business Majors. Jon made his way slowly to the back of the class to an empty seat, occupying the last unfilled desk directly behind a young Bridget Pfiz. While the two would never speak in that class, or until midway through their senior year, an invisible string somehow kept the two connected.

Nearly four years after this brief encounter, the two would speak for the first time on a cold dark night at Xfinity Live! It was not Jon’s best first impression after a few too many adult sodas, but after telling Bridget he had always thought she was beautiful, she was stricken (she just didn't know it yet). Many months went by before the two would speak again, this time in one of the basement shows of the world-famous rock extraordinaire, Corporate Scum.

Many dates would follow, including porch parties at the Charleston Green, walks to the Flying Pig, hikes on glaciers, and snow shoeing on lakes. A stroll at the Pinnacle Overlook in Susquehanna State Park would stand out in the summer of 2017. Bridget and Jon would venture back to the same Pinnacle Overlook on a very rainy day, September 24th, 2023, where Jon would ask Bridget to spend their lives together.

They say love isn’t rocket science at all, but for these two, it turns out it was the right calculus all along.
