We got engaged on May 27, 2017 in Washington DC at the Library of Congress.&nbsp; I was so surprised and of all the places to propose&nbsp;he choose the most fantastic place ever.&nbsp; I love books and libraries.&nbsp; It was amazing and a day I will never forget.&nbsp; He planned it all and included my friends this was a special day.&nbsp; Just watch&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6A2LXJ_KoU&feature=youtu.be">Jon & DeLeetra 5-27-2017 Engagement Day</a>.

We balance each other out.&nbsp; We compliment each other.&nbsp; We are not perfect, but we are perfect for each other.&nbsp;&nbsp;We have been blessed to find each other.&nbsp; He is my fish and I look forward to all the adventures we will have.&nbsp; I love me some him and I&nbsp;love how he loves himself some me.&nbsp; With God's grace we will see where this exciting journey will take us.&nbsp;&nbsp;

How We Met

Derby Days

We met unofficially in June 2015 in Columbia, SC for a derby tryout.&nbsp; I did not notice him, but apparently he noticed me.&nbsp; In July of 2015 we became Facebook friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;

We talked for hours almost everyday and I figured he was just being friendly.&nbsp; Turns out he was hitting on me!!! Go figure.&nbsp; I had no idea.&nbsp;&nbsp;

We went on our first date August 1, 2015 in Charleston, and he took me to the Aquarium.&nbsp; We also shared our first kiss on that day and it was the beginning of many more.&nbsp;&nbsp;
