Welcome To Our Story
We got engaged on May 27, 2017 in Washington DC at the Library of Congress. I was so surprised and of all the places to propose he choose the most fantastic place ever. I love books and libraries. It was amazing and a day I will never forget. He planned it all and included my friends this was a special day. Just watch Jon & DeLeetra 5-27-2017 Engagement Day.
We balance each other out. We compliment each other. We are not perfect, but we are perfect for each other. We have been blessed to find each other. He is my fish and I look forward to all the adventures we will have. I love me some him and I love how he loves himself some me. With God's grace we will see where this exciting journey will take us.
How We Met
Derby Days
We met unofficially in June 2015 in Columbia, SC for a derby tryout. I did not notice him, but apparently he noticed me. In July of 2015 we became Facebook friends.
We talked for hours almost everyday and I figured he was just being friendly. Turns out he was hitting on me!!! Go figure. I had no idea.
We went on our first date August 1, 2015 in Charleston, and he took me to the Aquarium. We also shared our first kiss on that day and it was the beginning of many more.
