I'm a bit nervous about COVID! What are some of the protocols or guidelines that will be in place?
We are requiring that everyone above the age of 5 be fully vaccinated (with at least one booster for those over 12) before attending our wedding. We will be providing some rapid COVID tests throughout the weekend, as well as masks, and we recommend that you take a COVID test before coming to any wedding events. We'll also have dinner tables outside for people who prefer to eat outside and keep their masks on inside. Thank you in advance!
What's up with a Sunday wedding? Why not a Friday or Saturday?
We've chosen to get married on a Sunday to keep in line with a Jewish law that dictates Jewish weddings should not occur on Shabbat (Friday at sundown through Saturday at sundown, essentially). We know traveling for a Sunday wedding is not the easiest - we appreciate your flexibility and we hope it means you'll have some extra time earlier in the weekend to see loved ones/friends and explore Chicago!
What should I wear on Sunday? How fancy are we talking?
Sunday will be cocktail/semi-formal attire! This guide from The Knot is super helpful if you're unsure what to wear (thank you Raj & Kayla for the idea)! www.theknot.com/content/wedding-guest-attire-cheat-sheet
How can I stay up-to-date on all wedding-related events once I’m in Chicago?
We’ll be sending out text messages to our guests throughout the weekend with event addresses, timing, COVID/weather-related updates, etc, if you’re interested! You can sign up by texting to the number “81010” with the text message “@jbbh22”! Please select “student” when prompted.
