From the moment we started texting and getting to know each other, I prayed that it would lead to something good. I asked her to go on our first date a week after matching on a Christian dating app and she said yes. We went bowling for 4 hours and had a blast. She asked me some heavy questions for a first date and I was honest with her. From there Nadia and I sat by the water and just talked all night. We walked along the water in Cole Park and kept getting to know each other. Every minute that passed made me fall more and more for her. We ended up right next to the water at a spot that I use to fish alone and just think of the future. We asked more heavy questions and I looked at her and said, you are the one I’ve been praying for.❤️ We went out on a few more dates and I knew she was the one, the one I would marry someday.

I met Jonathan on a Christian dating app, he managed to reschedule our first date because I got sick, he was kind to wait till I felt better and didn’t let up. We went bowling and he rented out two lanes so we could both bowl and so “there wouldn’t be any awkward silence”. I was quiet at first and this man never shut up. As many of you know is quite the opposite of us. He was so afraid of awkward silence. I thought this guy was so handsome and kind of dorky. The first hour we didn't talk and just bowled side by side till our arms hurt while exchanging high fives after each throw. Until we both sat down and just smiled at each other. I was smitten and couldn’t stop smiling. I smiled so much that night that my cheeks hurt. Our date went on for nearly 6 hours. At the end of the evening I did my interview questions: how many kids do you want? How much money do you make? Do you have debt? What are you career goals? What does your future family look like? How do you plan to lead your family? How do you plan to handle finances as a married couple? What does husband mean to you? How do you plan to involve family? And the questions continued, I didn’t scare him away one bit. He actually answered everything perfectly and I didn’t lead him with any questions at all, so I knew he was being honest. As we prayed, worshipped, and laughed together we grew in love and have been stuck together ever since.
