San Antonio River Walk

Spend all day walking the windy historical river walk built in 1939 (or hop on one of the boat), eat and drink your way around, cross bridge and stairs to enter the city and see other historic sites, go to Mi Tierra bakery for authentic Mexican pastries that has been open since 1941, it used to serve out baked good for 10's of different windows handing out sweets, or go to the Mexican market just down the street.

For those of you from Maine, Doc's is like Shaw's Wharf. Good vibes, and on Friday and Saturday there's always a band, usually country. You can fish off the dock too and there's lots of fish.

Just outside San Antonio, beautiful trails known for its abundant wildlife. You're bound to see many birds, as well as deer, armadillos, raccoons, ringtail cats, rabbits, rodents, and various reptiles

Lake Corpus Christi State Park

In Corpus Christi, A beautiful place to camp tent for cheap, we always see families of deer and rabbits. The deer get so close and are unfazed, lol

Refugio Winery

Right outside of Corpus Christi get the quaintest wine tasting! When we went there it was one sweet guy who served us eagerly! They have amazing wines even. Blackberry wine which is amazing! They make wine slushies and win ribbons every year! Get a charcuterie board and sit outside or inside, learn about each wine during your tasting, and then walk through the vineyard.

Padre Island known for its sea turtles has 115 miles of shoreline. Here in Texas we drive up on the beach and pull our cars/trucks up to the spot where we gonna be. BBQ, tent-camping, tan, sit with a sun chair half in the water, read, at night have a fire! In Texas there no fire permit needed! and no open container laws, just pour some ocean water on your fire and pick up your trash! Get your fishing license easy for a couple bucks for any of these places: Academy Sports and Outdoors
