What are your plans after getting married?

We plan to stay in Rexburg for the next year. Hannah will finish up her BSN nursing degree in December, and Jordan will follow a semester or two later with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Strategic Organization, and a minor in English. After we are graduated, Hannah will work as a labor and delivery nurse and Jordan plans to attend law school and become a family lawyer.

why did you friendzone each other?

That's a great question.

what is your favorite thing about Hannah?

One of my favorite things about Hannah is her many passions and talents. She is a very well-rounded person in that regard. She paints, plays the guitar, has memorized many poems, is learning to play the harmonica and so many other things. I remember on our first date she named the different formations of the clouds overhead. I was flabbergasted. I had never met anyone like that before and I thought it was so authentic. Hannah has developed her many talents and that is one of the things I love about her.

what is your favorite thing about Jordan?

Coming up with a singular favorite is nearly impossible, but one of the first things I fell in love with about Jordan is how passionate he is. When he loves things, he loves them wholly. His family, his friends, his interests, and his goals are all things that he loves and seeks after without reservation.

what was your first date?

The first time we hung out, one-on-one, we made homemade peanut butter cups. (Hannah considered this a date. Jordan did not.) For our first "official" date, we went to dinner at Cafe Rio and then to a paint studio where we dressed up like Oompa Loompa's in lab coats and googles and threw paint all over canvases and each other. We call it the date-that-never-ended because after that we spent an hour or two just talking and walking to some of our favorite spots in Rexburg (we were both car-less). Then we ended up going to hang out with friends later that evening until curfew.

How do I RSVP?

Message Jordan or Hannah (or their parents) and let them know what your plans are.

Interview with the Bride and Groom about Miscellaneous Subjects

What is your favorite food?

HANNAH: I always say biscuits and gravy because that's my comfort food, but if I'm being honest its probably sushi.

JORDAN: Cheeseburgers. All of them.

What is your biggest flex?

JORDAN: Marrying Hannah.

HANNAH: If I say anything else, it sounds bad now haha. But I will say that something I am personally very proud of myself for is performing with my guitar and singing at venues and doing independent gigs. That took a lot of guts for me because I really struggle with stage fright, but I had a lot of fun doing it.

What's your favorite book?

HANNAH: I have too many! Short answer is Goosegirl, by Shannon Hale, which has been my favorite since I was a teenager. I also really love Moonrakers Bride, Edenbrooke, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The King of Attolia, just off the top of my head.

JORDAN: I don't know. Right now? Dune. Well... I don't know about that. That's a hard question to answer. The Harry Potter books are up there.

Favorite movie?

JORDAN: Back to the Future. Star Wars Empire Strikes Back, The Lion King, and Speedracer. Not in that order haha.

HANNAH: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Stardust, Willow and Strictly Ballroom. Also not in that order.

When did you know you wanted to start dating?

HANNAH: There is a very long answer to this question, but I'll spare you all. During the time that we were "just friends," I got the flu and spent a week or two feeling pretty crummy and under the weather. I had a date planned with another guy that I ended up cancelling because I just wasn't feeling up to it. I ended up calling Jordan and asking him to come over though because I didn't want to be by myself, and I knew Jordan would cheer me up. And at the end of the day, I just realized that I would rather be with him than hanging out with any of my other friends or going on any other dates.

JORDAN: A few weeks before that, she kissed another dude and told me about it. I realized that I didn't like that at all and decided to do something about it.

Who in your life do you look up to the most?

JORDAN: Probably my grandfathers. They were good fellows.

HANNAH: I have a lot of good examples in my life I try to be more like. My parents and grandparents, of course, and I often look up to my siblings as well. I've been blessed with wonderful family.
