Q + A

What are the wedding colors?

*think*

Our Lady of Guadalupe

We encourage you to wear any of these colors to be part of the fun! Please feel free to wear whatever color scheme suits you, though.

Is there a dress code?

For our Catholic wedding Mass, we kindly ask that you dress in your “Sunday Best” to honor the sacredness of the occasion. This means attire that is respectful & modest while allowing you to feel confident & comfortable. For women, dresses or skirts that fall around the knee or longer, or dress pants with a blouse, are great choices. More coverage of the chest & shoulders is desired. For men, slacks with a button-down shirt or a suit and tie work well. We invite you to avoid overly casual items like shorts, tank tops, or flip flop sandals. Please be mindful when planning attire that our wedding will occur during a full Catholic Mass. The Mass does have moments of sitting, standing, & kneeling.

While we understand not everyone shares the same perspective on modesty, this request reflects the reverence we hold for our Lord, the dignity of those in attendance, & the significance of the ceremony. Thank you for joining us in celebrating this special moment with care & consideration!

Is the wedding playlist collaborative?

Music is one of Jordan’s love languages!!! She delights in collaborating with her friends on playlists to share feelings, memories, & good times. For example, on our first anniversary, Jordan made Greg a Mix CD with songs that made her think of him. Please add some *wholesome* songs to our playlist for us to all enjoy while we celebrate! We’ll review the list before the reception & remove any we don’t deem to be “in good, clean fun.” The playlist will be made private the week prior. Search “Jordy & Greg BECOME ONE!!!” by Jordan Luciano on Spotify if you’re unable to scan the code above with your phone.

Will there be alcohol?

An Ode to Alcohol

O sacred cup, thou vessel bright,
That sparkles softly in the light,
A gift bestowed for joy, not plight,
We raise thee high in measured flight.

Let moderation guide our way,
A compass sure, lest we betray
The dignity we hold so dear,
To cherish fun, yet steer it clear.

For laughter’s balm and moments shared,
Hilarity with hearts prepared,
Needs not the chaos of excess,
But gentle tips, not drunkenness.

O wine, thou oft in sacred writ,
In Cana’s feast thy role did sit;
Yet Christ, our guide, in wisdom taught,
Not revelry, but grace He sought.

So let our hearts with faith align,
In mirthful bounds, with love divine.
May joy and morality intertwine,
To honor God with every sign.

Drink deeply not of cup alone,
But of the virtues we’ve been shown.
In dignity, we toast, we sing,
A hymn to life and all it brings.

TLDR: Please consider alcohol a gift from the Lord & honor yourself & others while enjoying it. Jesus’s first miracle, turning water into wine at a wedding, shows its value in bringing joy. We want it to be part of our special day, too! We encourage you to celebrate with us responsibly, respecting our union, the sacrifice of Jesus, & one another in how you steward yourself at our reception.

Are my kids invited?

We LOVE kids & wish that all of the kiddos could join us for such a special day. However, because we love so many people, we only have room for parents & a select number of kids at our reception. If your child’s name is not on the RSVP, we request that you find care for them in the event you desire to attend our reception. All children are welcome to attend the ceremony at the church!

Can everyone attend the reception?

We wish our wedding reception could look like heaven & be full of everyone we’ve ever known & loved. However, we have a limit on the number of people we are able to accommodate at our reception. If your RSVP does not include the reception, please know we ache to have you with us, but ask that you rejoice with us at our ceremony alone— the most important part!
