Jordan and Joseph’s love story began on September 17, 2021, in Orlando, Florida. Both on the dating app Hinge, they were fortunate enough to find each other. Joseph sent the first message, which immediately caught Jordan's attention. She excitedly showed her roommates, especially intrigued by the fact that Joseph was British! Though a bit nervous, Jordan agreed to meet him for their first date at Disney Springs. A sudden Florida downpour changed their plans, leading them to Dave & Buster’s and then Friendly's, where they spent six unforgettable hours talking about life, their dreams, their faith, and Joseph's promise that the next person he dated would be the one he married. From that moment, they both knew something extraordinary had begun.
Shortly after, Jordan traveled to Michigan for a week, but when she returned, Joseph greeted her at the airport with flowers. It was then that Jordan knew she didn’t want to be with anyone else. After many dates and soccer games, Joseph asked Jordan to be his girlfriend on November 30, 2021. They both knew from that point forward this was their forever love.
That feeling was solidified on August 8, 2024, when Joseph proposed in St. Augustine, Florida. In true Joseph fashion, the proposal was sweet and full of humor. He cleverly tricked Jordan into thinking nothing special was happening that day because it was his dad’s birthday. While taking a family photo on the pier at their Airbnb, Joseph suddenly grew nervous, and Jordan immediately sensed what was coming. Amidst his heartfelt words, Joseph asked her to marry him, though Jordan was so overjoyed that she hardly remembers the details, except for saying yes!
