Jordan and Collin’s story started at work, Jordan started at Uline in early 2019 and sat directly in front of Collin. Jordan’s mom asked her shortly after starting, “any cute boys at work?” Jordan replied “wellll there is one”. Collin usually kept to himself at work and didn’t offer help to others, but he made sure to check in with Jordan if she needed any help before he left for the day.
They soon realized they were interested in each other, they started talking and made plans to go out with a group of friends that all lived in Milwaukee. Since that night, Jordan and Collin have been inseparable.
Jordan and Collin were getting to know each other, whether it was going out to dinner, getting drinks after work, taking Collin’s dog, Jordy (one of Jordan’s nicknames…) for walks through the city and along lake front, or just watching their favorite shows. Little did they know all of these little moments would help them create a bond unlike any other.
The next big step in their relationship was moving in together. Collin had recently bought a house and Jordan was excited to continue building their life together. The only hurdle? Telling her mom she planned to move in with Collin. After helping move Collin (and Jordan) into the house, Jordan’s mom said “okay Jordan, time to go home” to which Jordan said “no mom, remember, I’m moving in with Collin”. Jordan was nervous to take this leap but trusted that her and Collin had a special bond.
Shortly after moving into the house, Jordan and Collin decided to get Jordy a best friend. Enter the true love of Jordan’s life, Finley. It wasn’t always perfect, but raising Finley together taught Jordan and Collin how to work as a team like they never needed to before.
Fast forward to the night Collin asked Jordan to marry him. They were going to meet Jordan’s family for dinner around the capitol square in Madison, Collin planned to ask Jordan in front of the capitol on the walk to the restaurant. Collin asked his sister, Taylor, to take pictures of him asking. Saying “it’ll be on the corner with the Christmas tree”. Little did either of them realize that there would be Christmas trees on every corner of the capitol. Taylor had to run across the square when she realized Jordan and Collin were going in the opposite direction of her. As he always does, Collin played it cool when it was finally time to pop the question. He faked tying his shoes to make it seem “normal” as he went down on a knee.
It was a “YES”!!
