We want you to have a good time at our wedding, but we also want to make sure you have a safe and convenient ride home. To thank you for celebrating with us, we will be providing all our guests with Lyft codes. After the festivities, you will be able to enter our Lyft code into your chosen app so that we can cover the cost of your ride home or back to your hotel. When you enter our Lyft code, you will receive a free ride home as long as it is within Saint Louis City limits. If you live in Saint Louis County or Saint Charles County, our code will give you a discount on your ride home. Please note that our Lyft code will only work when you are requesting to be picked up within Shaw neighborhood. By utilizing ridesharing apps instead of a chartered bus, we hope to be able to ensure ALL our guests make it home safely, not just the guests staying at our hotel. You are welcome to leave your car overnight in our neighborhood as long as it is street parked on 39th. We suggest that you ensure all car doors are locked and that no valuables remain in your car overnight.

We do not have a reserved room block for guests because our guests have a variety of needs and plans. Instead, we've listed some great hotels below. The newlyweds will be staying at The Last Hotel after the wedding. If you decide to stay at The Last Hotel as well, please let us know. We have also provided a list of some wonderful AirBnbs located within walking distance or a very short drive from our venue. We hope that this allows you to plan for your needs and choose the option that makes the most sense for you and your guests.

We love our city so much and we want you to love it too. One of our favorite things to do is to spend time showing visiting friends and family all our favorite local haunts. We will obviously be very busy during our wedding weekend, so this list of our best recommendations is the best we can do for now. If you're coming from out of town, we recommend staying the weekend if you're able and enjoying the STL city experience. In Shaw Neighborhood

This is one of our absolute favorite places to grab ice cream and it's only a block from our front door. This ice cream is special because it's made with liquid nitrogen. When waiting for your order, make sure to stand by the counter and prepare to be mesmerized by the process.

Ices Plain & Fancy

This is easily one of our favorite restaurants in Saint Louis. Sweet Art serves delicious vegan soul food and amazing cupcakes. It is a black female owned business and also an art gallery.

Sasha's Wine Bar is one of the most well-known businesses in Shaw neighborhood. It has a wonderful selection of wines as well as some delicious food items.

This beautiful park is where we got engaged. We cannot recommend it enough. This park has beautiful walking trails and gorgeous trees. It is classified as a Level-II arboretum. You can also find Saint Louis's best farmer's market near the tennis courts on Saturday mornings.

This is one of our favorite neighborhood stores. Check it out for great books, ethically sourced goods, and sustainable products.

The Social Goods Marketplace

Fiddlehead Fern is one of our favorite brunch spots. They have amazing loaded toasts as well as some unconventional lattes and coffee drinks. The iced moon goddess is one of Jordan's all-time favorite drinks.

Located next door to SweetArt, Wild Olive boasts an eclectic selection of wines and craft beers as well as some amazing charcuterie boards.

Just down the street from our house, The Gallery Pub is one of our favorite neighborhood haunts. They have live music every Friday and Saturday evening and a really awesome patio. The owners are incredibly friendly as well and love to show visitors a good time.

Located just down the street from our wedding venue, the latest location of St. Louis's beloved Bailey's Range has been in the making for our entire relationship. Shaw neighborhood has been patiently (some of us impatiently) waiting for this restaurant to finally open its doors for five years. Go here if you're craving some amazing burgers (any of which can be made vegetarian by subbing a veggie patty) and shakes. You can eat inside, on the wonderful patio, or order carry out.

South City Favorites

We both agree that The Gramophone has the best sandwiches in Saint Louis, hands down. Located in The Grove district, this bar has great drinks and a wonderful atmosphere as well, but their sandwiches are legendary. Jordan loves their mac and cheese and Jeff likes their jalapeño popper soup. We suggest pairing these with half a sandwich. Jordan's favorite is the All Up In Your Grill and Jeff's is the Boy Howdee.

The Gramophone

Have you ever had a sushi burrito?? If not, you should fix that ASAP by eating at BLK MKT Eats, which is easily one of our most frequented restaurants. Jordan thinks they make the best tofu in town and Jeff likes the Tiger Style Tuna Burrito. Whatever you order here, you won't be disappointed. Our favorite way to enjoy it is getting it to go and taking it around the corner to enjoy a drink at Narwhal's Crafted.

BLK MKT Eats

Narwhal's Crafted is one of our absolute favorite places to hang out in the city. They have such a cool patio, some wonderful restaurants nearby, and the best alcoholic and non-alcoholic slushies you've ever tasted. Our favorite is the Banana Dave, but they also have some amazing seasonal slushies too.

The Hill neighborhood is located just on the other side of the botanical garden from Shaw. The Hill is where a large amount of Italian immigrants settled in the early part of the 20th century and is famous for its collection of authentic Italian bakeries, grocery stories, and trattorias. It even has a bocce garden. Our favorite restaurant on The Hill is Zia's, which also gained some fame recently due to its inclusion on Netflix's Fresh, Fried, &amp; Crispy.

Best Options for Kids

Home to over 14,000 animals, representing nearly 500 species, the Saint Louis Zoo is recognized worldwide for its innovative approaches to animal care and management, wildlife conservation, research and education. One of the few free zoos in the nation, the Saint Louis Zoo attracts approximately 3 million visitors annually and is the most-visited attraction in the region.&nbsp;&nbsp;And as a free zoo, visitors are encouraged to come back again…and again!

Fun fact: The Missouri Botanical Garden is the place where Jeff and Jordan took their very first photo together. It is an absolutely gorgeous place. The park is open from 9:00am-5:00pm and general admission for adults is $12.00.

The St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station will take you on an aquatic journey like no other. From alligator snapping turtles and personalized interactive experiences to zebra sharks and community-building activities, the aquarium has something for everyone. Shark Canyon&nbsp;is the largest attraction found within the St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station.&nbsp;It offers views of 80 sharks and rays swimming in a 250,000-gallon environment with a J-wall that arches over the heads of visitors. The aquarium will offer timed ticketing to save guests from waiting in long queue lines.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.stlouisaquarium.com/tickets" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">General Admission tickets</a>&nbsp;are $25 for Adult and $18 for Children (3-12) and will get you access to all of the Aquarium’s galleries, exhibits and interactive experiences.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.stlouisaquarium.com/tickets" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Combo Tickets</a>&nbsp;will allow guests to experience two or more exciting Union Station attractions during their visit.

Megan and Jordan met in the awkward days of 7th grade at Kennett Middle School. They've been pretty much inseparable ever since. From being college roommates to experiencing all of life's ups and downs together, it's safe to say that they are stuck with each other at this point. 

Megan Vaninger

Will and Jordan grew up in the same neighborhood and have been best friends since 2000, when they bonded over nerdy things like Harry Potter and Dragonball Z. They were also roommates for nearly seven straight years in Springfield, Kennett, and then finally Saint Louis.

William Caldwell

Leanna and Jordan have known each other since preschool. They share a ton of similar interests, including music festivals, flea market shopping, and being chronically late to everything.

A fellow English teacher, Emily was Jordan's mentor when she started teaching at Marquette High School. They clicked immediately and have been work besties ever since.
