Jacob grew up in Strongsville, Ohio with 2 older brothers James and Jason, and parents Jay and Joyce. All 3 brothers graduated from Strongsville High School and then attended The Ohio State University. Jordan grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio with sister Jessica, brother Jason, and parents Barb and Jack. Jordan went to St. Vincent - St. Mary and then Ohio State, only graduating about 2.5 years behind Jacob.

After Thanksgiving 2018 Jacob was getting ready to travel down to Columbus for The Game when Jordan's dating profile came across the screen. She had a picture wearing this great Browns shirt that said "We Almost Always Almost Win". They got to talking and realized they had a lot in common (not just being fans of the saddest franchise in the NFL). They agreed to meet for a first date at The Spotted Owl in Tremont on a cold Saturday in December. Jacob remembers realizing the date was also the same night as the 2018 Big Ten Championship (OSU was playing Northwestern). He even contemplated trying to reschedule but one of his good friends and roommate a the time, Ryan Akers, convinced him to go. To no surprise, the first date went great and they have been inseparable ever since. Since that first date, Jordan and Jacob moved into our first apartment on the East side, and in November 2020 bought their first home together right around the corner from the church where the ceremony will be. They are really happy that all of you will be celebrating their marriage. Without the support of family and friends they might not have gotten to this wonderful day!
