The evening started with dinner reservations at La Jolla Grove at the Riverwoods in Provo. Meanwhile, our families were setting up the perfect proposal at the Provo City Center Temple and I had a hunch that today was the day, but didn't have any guesses as to how the proposal would take place.

Mike and I had a plan to take pictures of the Johnson family with their dogs up the canyon after our dinner reservation. Mike didn't seem very nervous to me so I couldn't tell for sure if there was going to be a proposal. To be honest, I thought the proposal was going to be about a week earlier during our California trip to Disneyland. Mike is from California and I knew we were going to visit their old stomping grounds and favorite bay. I was guessing that was where the proposal would take place. So if that wasn't the place, up the canyon was my next guess.

After dinner, Mike was driving south on University Avenue in Provo so we could go take pictures up the canyon of his family. He didn't seem very concerned about getting up there before the sun set, so I was suspicious.

He took a turn that wasn't towards our planned destination and THAT'S WHEN I KNEW! He pulled into the temple parking lot and said we were taking his family photos there. But I knew dogs weren't allowed on the temple grounds. I thought to myself, "Wow, this is really happening!" Mike had been checking his phone throughout the date so I figured he was communicating with the family about the proposal.

We walked around the corner to the west side of the temple as the sun was setting and I saw a gorgeous yellow boquet of flowers and the backside of larger picture frames. I couldn't help but cry because it was so beautiful.

We talked about our dating journey and he showed me pictures even though I couldn't see them through all my tears.

I had to let me tears wipe away before I could finally admire all the photos. He had pictures all set out in the shape of a heart in chronological order from when we started dating.

His proposal was the most precious moment of my entire life. I feel like the luckiest girl alive!

After the proposal he said, "Alright everyone, you can come out now." I was surprised to see friends and family jump out of the bushes! We celebrated at my house together over hot cocoa and donuts

I'm so excited to finally have found the love of my life. It was SO worth the wait.
