We are embracing different shades of green for the wedding party, soft pastel greens, like mint or sage, or other light, nature-inspired hues that complement the natural beauty of the venue. For our guests, we encourage you to dress semi-formally in light, nature-inspired hues that complement the outdoor setting—think soft pastels or airy shades like blush, light lavender, or soft neutrals. We want everyone to feel both elegant and comfortable, so please consider light, breathable fabrics.

The Manzano Mountain Retreat (MMR) is nestled on 138 acres of scenic land. Maps of the property are available and can be provided upon request. Please be mindful and avoid crossing any fences. Our ceremony will be held outdoors on wooden benches, offering stunning views of the New Mexico Mountain landscape. The reception will follow in a unique and charming airplane hangar.

Please be aware that MMR has limited cell service. The property’s Wi-Fi bandwidth is restricted and currently available only for staff use or specific guests with prior permission.

Dogs are not welcomed at the venue or reception area. However, if you are staying at the Retreat, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the property with prior approval from Management, and an additional stay fee will apply. Registered service animals are always welcome—please provide advance notice. For the comfort of all guests, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and crated when left unattended in rooms. We kindly ask that you clean up after your pet wherever you are on the property. Please note that excessive damage or cleaning may incur a fee.

Smoking & vaping is prohibited except in personal vehicles or in designated areas. Please only dispose of used cigarettes/cigars in designated containers. Smoking of any kind is not allowed if we are under a fire restriction. Smoking of cannabis is prohibited.

All vehicles will be directed to parking for the ceremony and reception. If you are staying he night, all vehicles must be parked down by the gymnasium or in designated parking spaces near rooms. Vehicles can only be parked near family suites/bunkhouses with advanced approval. Vehicles cannot be driven off designated vehicle paths.

We wanted to let you know that we’ll be having a dry wedding, meaning there won’t be any alcohol served. We kindly ask that you respect this decision and refrain from bringing any alcohol to the event. We’re focusing on creating a fun and memorable celebration for everyone, and we appreciate your understanding and support in making our day special!

To ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, we ask that no fireworks, including sparklers, be used on the property. Open flames are only permitted at designated fire pits, which will be managed and supervised by MMR staff. If you’d like to enjoy the fire pit, please be sure to request it in advance.
