Q + A

Can I bring a guest?

Unfortunately due to the reception being in a backyard we are very limited on how many people can attend. All invitations state who is invited by name.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP ASAP. This will allow us to plan accordingly and ensure there is enough food etc for everyone attending. If you forget to RSVP we cannot guarantee a seat or food. If you are unable to attend please let us know by RSVP also. This will help ensure we do not pay for unused chairs, food etc.

Is there a dress code?

We want you to be comfortable so there is no dress code! The ceremony is in a church and reception is outdoors so dress accordingly. It's recommended to not wear heals as the reception is on grass. Weddings make good excuses to get dressed up though!

Is there parking?

Yes! The ceremony will be held at Holy Rosary Church on River Ave. There is street parking around the church but is limited. The reception is at a private residence in Lorette, Manitoba and there will be ample street parking. If anyone has limited mobility please drop them off in the driveway and park on the street. Absolutely no parking in the driveway!

What will the food be?

We are having local fares for our dinner. This will include meat, dairy, gluten etc. It will be buffet style so there will be no plates to pick ahead of time. If you have any dietary restrictions please state what it is when you RSVP so we can ensure your needs are met.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! We want everyone to enjoy themselves so we will be having an open bar. Please drink responsibly and ensure you have a ride home planned as the reception is 20 minutes outside of Winnipeg.

Is transportation to and from the reception provided?

We have not confirmed whether or not there will be transportation provided. If this is something you require please reach out to us.

Do you have a hotel block?

No, we do not have any hotel rooms set aside. Many of our out of town guests will stay with family or have preferences as to where they stay. If you need help finding accommodations feel free to reach out.

Can I take photos?

We VERY kindly ask that everyone refrains from taking photos during the ceremony. We have spent an extensive amount of time finding the best photographer to capture our wedding and would appreciate everyone allowing them to do just that. When guests take photos during the ceremony it results in wedding photos having hands and cellphones in them and can often block important details like first kiss etc. After the ceremony and during the reception feel free to take all of the photos you'd like! We will have a hashtag available for you to share any photos you take.
