What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by September 1st, 2024.

What is the address of the venue and reception? Is it handicap accessible?

The address for the ceremony and reception is Emerson Park Pavilion, 6879 East Lake Rd, Auburn, NY 13021. The venue is handicap accessible. Please note that the ceremony will be on grass, so let us know if you have a wheelchair and will need additional assistance.

Is there parking available near the venue?

Yes, there is ample parking located on-site.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors, and the cocktail hour and reception will be indoors.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Yes, a block of rooms will be reserved for the Meaney/Sorber Wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn. Please book by September 13th, The special rate can only be applied to Sunday night. If you are looking to book a room for Saturday as well as Sunday night, that will need to be booked separately due to another wedding being in town.

Will there be a shuttle to and from hotels?

There will not be a shuttle service available. The easiest way to get to and from the venue is by car and the venue is located within a public park, so you are welcome to leave your car overnight if you feel you cannot drive back after the reception. Carpooling and Uber/Lyft are also wonderful options that are accessible in Auburn.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates.

What will the weather be like in the area?

Syracuse weather can mean four seasons in one day! It could be 80 degrees in October, or it could snow. Either way, consider bringing an extra layer, as the venue is located on Owasco Lake, so it will likely get cool in the evening. Keep an eye on weather reports during the week or so leading up to the wedding.

What type of food will be served?

Mixed Green Salad; Baked Cavatappi; Creamy Wild Mushroom Risotto (vegan); Chicken Picatta; Pork Loin Stuffed with apples, pancetta, and stuffing; Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon; Artisan Harvest Rolls and Butter; and a Cookie Bar for Dessert

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary needs or allergies?

Yes, when you RSVP, please let us know of any dietary restrictions or allergies.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, there will be an open bar.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Please arrive around 3:30 pm. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an afterparty?

The reception will end at 9:30 pm and there will be an after party directly afterwards at the Prison City Brewpub on State Street in Auburn.

Am I allowed to take photos at the ceremony?

We have hired a wonderful photographer to capture our wedding and request that all guests remain present and keep phones put away during the ceremony.
