Explore Whistler Village! There are so many great restaurants, bars, brewery's, and shops!
The Whistler gondola will take you right up to the peak of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, where you can explore the skywalk bridge, lookout for bears, have a beer(s) and lots more!!
There are also some pretty cool hikes from the peak of the mountains if you're feeling adventurous :)
Swim, sunbathe, kayak, canoe, or paddle board on Nita Lake! Rentals are included in your stay at Nita Lake Lodge.
Rent a bike and explore Whistler! There are plenty of cycle tracks and things to see. Bike rental is included in your stay at Nita Lake Lodge.
A short walking trail from the village centre will take you past a glacier fed river and to Lost Lake! (You might even spot a bear on your way!)
Relax in the swimming pool, hot tub, or spa at Nita Lake Lodge!
There are no shortage of golf clubs in Whistler! There's also a driving range in the village.
If you're feeling VERY adventurous - Joffre lakes is a 1 hour drive from Whistler. It's a 5km hike that leads to 3 glacier fed, ice blue, lakes.

There are hundreds of brewery's to try in Vancouver! Let's go brewery hopping :)
The Vancouver sea-wall will take you all the way around the city and around Stanley park! There are lots of places to explore in the park, and beaches to stop and relax along the way :)
Granville Island is a great sport for shopping, food, and drink! It's right beside Downtown and you can take a water-taxi to and from it :)
Grouse mountain is one of the local mountains in Vancouver! The gondola will take you up to the peak where there's lots to do (including seeing the two grizzly bears!) :)
Lynn Canyon in North Vancouver is a great place to spend an hour or two exploring! You can even swim in the canyon if you want to brave the cold water :)
Suspension bridges, tree walks, and pretty lights!
Go to Kitsilano! You can shop on 4th Avenue, eat & drink, and go to the beach or pool to relax :)
Go to English Bay/ Sunset beach and explore the area! You can also relax on the grass or sand with a few drinks and watch the sunset before finding a bar/ restaurant for the evening.
Take the sea bus over to North Vancouver and walk around Lonsdale quay! There are some great restaurants, bars, and brewery's with great views across the water of Downtown Vancouver.
Take a stroll through Gastown and pass by the famous Gastown steam clock! This is a great area to pick up souvenirs and admire the red brick buildings.
Coal Harbour is a beautiful area in Downtown Vancouver! You can walk along the seawall and watch the sea planes taking off and landing in the water, get great views of North Vancouver and Stanley Park, walk along Canada Place pier and see the famous "digital orca" statue.
There are also some lovely patios in the area (Cactus Club and Tap and Barrell are our personal favourites!)
If you'd like to do a short (or long!) hike while you're in Vancouver and experience the beautiful local mountains, here are some of our recommendations:
- Bowen lookout (super short but a very enjoyable trail on Cypress mountain)
- Dog mountain (a slightly tougher hike on Seymour mountain)
- Quarry Rock trail (located in Deep Cove in North Vancouver, super accessible by bus)
- Lynn Canyon (not exactly a hike, but an enjoyable trail in North Vancouver)
Deep Cove is a super popular area in North Vancouver to sunbathe, kayak/ paddle board and grab lunch. It has one of the most popular donut shops in the city!
This is a lovely scenic spot in North Vancouver where you can admire the mountains and also find some enjoyable trails through the canyon!
