Getting to Vancouver
We recommend flying into Vancouver International Airport (YVR). From there you can take the Sky Train or taxi to your accommodation / Downtown Vancouver.
There will be a private bus organized by Laura & Josh to take guests travelling from abroad to Nita Lake Lodge, Whistler from Downtown Vancouver on Monday, August 26 (at approximately 2pm) - if you would like to join us in Whistler the day before the wedding, we recommend landing in Vancouver before Monday, August 26 (or early that morning).

Nita Lake Lodge
The wedding ceremony, cocktail reception, and dinner reception are all taking place at Nita Lake Lodge. Guests are welcome to stay at the Lodge and use the discounted room rates when booking.

Booking details
We encourage you to reserve your room as soon as possible because Nita Lake Lodge books up very quickly!
Reservation requests must be made by Thursday, June 27, 2024, to qualify for the discounted wedding group rate.
You can reserve your room booking free of charge. You will be asked for credit card details at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation and the full payment of your room booking is not due until June 27, 2024
You can also cancel your reservation free of charge anytime before June 27, 2024.

*Please note: The prices per night outlined below are based on 1-2 guests per room. If there are 2+ guests in a room, Nita Lake Lodge will charge an additional $40 per night per additional guest.*

Getting to and from Whistler - Private bus arranged by Laura & Josh
We will arrange a private bus to take family and friends from out of town, from Downtown Vancouver to Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler on Monday, August 26.
Whistler is an incredibly beautiful and scenic 1.5 hour drive along the coast on the Sea to Sky Highway from Downtown Vancouver!
The bus will also return the group to Downtown Vancouver on Thursday, August 29.
If you have alternative travel plans to/ from Whistler, there is a regular bus service that you can book to suit your schedule! Please see below for more details.

YVR Skylynx (Bus from Vancouver Airport to/ from Whistler)
If you're arriving in Vancouver Airport (YVR) on Monday or Tuesday (Aug 26 & 27) you can get a bus directly to Whistler (Creekside) from the airport.

Vancouver accomodation
If you would like to book accommodation in Downtown Vancouver before and/ or after the wedding dates in Whistler (from Monday August, 26 - Thursday, August 29) here are some tips:
- There are plenty of Airbnb options in and around the city! An Airbnb could be an especially great option if you're travelling/ staying with a group of people
- You might find some great hotel deals on sites like booking.com in the Downtown area
- There are plenty of great locations to stay around Vancouver (we have listed some areas below). Although the Downtown Eastside and Strathcona areas are probably best to avoid when booking accommodation in the City.

Below are some of the best areas in Vancouver to start your search:
- Kitsilano (less hotel options, lots of Airbnb options)
- Vancouver Downtown area (hotel and Airbnb options)
- Yaletown (hotel and Airbnb options)
- Westend/ English Bay area (mostly Airbnb options)
- Mount pleasant (mostly Airbnb options)
The further South you go from the Downtown area, the cheaper the accommodation will be. This is also where you'll find larger Airbnb accommodations (for example entire houses/ townhouses). In general, the transportation system in Vancouver is very good. There is a SkyTrain and plenty of frequent buses that will bring you straight into Downtown!
