Near the centre of this map is our venue: The Vanderbilt Lakeside in Philmont, NY. (It shows up as in Hudson, NY on Google, but is technically 18 minutes east from downtown Hudson.)
The locations shown are just some of the local hotels, motels, and B&Bs we've heard good things about.
Many other options exist (including lots of Airbnbs), so feel free to explore. Just keep close! Parking and transportation are limited.
Accommodations: Cost Considerations
The options in the area vary significantly in price. The most high-end options are concentrated in Hudson, NY. The most budget-friendly options are scattered around, but there are several close-by.
For reference, here are common travel times to the venue:
<15 minutes
- Thyme in the Country Cottages
- Airbnbs (ideally in the area between Hudson and Philmont)
15-20 minutes
- Hudson, NY (10+ hotels/inns)
20-25 minutes:
Hudson, NY is just about 18 minutes from our venue, and has lots of places to stay and things to do.
Warren Street between the Public Square and the riverfront is where you'll find most of the restaurants, bars, hotels and shops.
Note that many of the hotels in Hudson are fairly high-end. The best budget-friendly hotel in downtown Hudson is the St. Charles Hotel.
Micosta Leisure Inn is another more affordable option technically in Hudson, about a 10-minute drive from downtown.
There are also several Airbnbs/VRBOs in town.
Explore Accommodations in Hudson:

The day of the wedding, you will have three options available for getting to the wedding.
1. There will be limited parking on site for those who drive. Because of limitations on space, if you're considering this option, please carpool and let us know in advance.
2. There will be several drivers on call. We've arranged for these drivers to be available at the start and end of the wedding. They will be a more reliable option than local Ubers or taxis.
3. You can use local Ubers or Taxis. Just note that these are less reliable in this area, and wait times may be long.
However you choose to join and leave us, please be safe!
1) Guests should find lodgings in the Hudson-Philmont area. Options range from high-end hotels to Airbnbs to glamping.
2) If possible, plan to get a ride to the venue on Saturday, Aug 16. We will provide information to contact local drivers who will be expecting our guests. Driving is possible, but parking space is limited.
3) Pro Tip: the closer people stay to the venue, the smoother transportation will be after the event.
(And trust us, nobody wants to get stuck waiting for a ride when Josh starts in on his fifth rendition of Farewell to Nova Scotia.)
