Things to Do

Visiting Hawai'i or O'ahu for the first time?

Check out some of Kiara and Josh's favorite spots on the island!

Waikiki Beach Sunset Sail

If you got your sealegs under you, try checking out the many many sunset cruises around Waikiki and Kaka'ako. The website here is one we have done before, but check out others, some of them offer dinner with the cruise!

Awesome beach park across the street from the Ala Moana Mall. On a sunny day you might find Kiara and Josh enjoying a poke bowl on the beach or taking a walk around the trail.

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

100 Hanauma Bay Rd, Honolulu, HI 96825, USA

Great place to go snorkeling in a safe and beautiful environment! Please note that the park is closed Monday and Tuesday. Online reservations REQUIRED and can be made 2 days in advance starting at 7:00am Hawai‘i Standard Time (HST)

Snorkeling here is an absolute blast and if you're lucky, Josh may let you borrow his space helmet mask.

What hikes would you recommend?

Great question, I am so glad you asked. Well known hikes you should do while here include: Koko Head, Diamond Head, Lanikai Pillbox and Makapu'u Lighthouse Trail.

"But I already did all those hikes! Give me something ELSE"

Kaʻena Point State Park

Farrington Hwy, Waialua, HI 96791, USA

Stunning ocean views, virtually zero elevation gain, sea birds?!?! what more could you ask for out of a hike. This 5.6 mile stint on the most Northwestern part of O'ahu will surely drop your jaw. Be sure to enter from the Waialua side.

Hanauma Bay Ridge Hike

7381 Kalanianaʻole Hwy, Honolulu, HI 96825, USA

Did you go snorkeling at Hanauma bay and wonder what all those specks on top of the cliff to your right were doing? Well that could be you! You could be that little speck traversing the iconic Hanauma bay ridge. This one is VERY steep so be sure to check trail conditions to see if you're up for it beforehand.

Makiki Valley Trail

Na Ala Hele: Makiki Valley Trail, Honolulu, HI 96822, USA

This one doesn't have extensive ocean views, but if you're looking for a more low key hike through a dense and exotic jungle, the Makiki valley trail is the hike for you!

At 3.4 miles and only about 1000' in elevation gain this little jaunt through the forest is a great way to get the blood flowing while enjoying the unique plant life in Hawai'i!
