Pack your bags! We can't wait to say "I do" in front of you!
From the moment Josh and I crossed paths in paramedic school, my life took a turn I never expected. I was very independent, always priding myself on handling things on my own and rarely letting my guard down. Then came Josh, and suddenly, everything changed.
Josh basically moved into my apartment without me even knowing and found a permanent spot in my life. It wasn’t a grand gesture or a dramatic moment; it was simply the way he made himself a part of my world, fitting into my life like he’d always been there.
Josh has a way of making me feel safe and understood, a feat not easily achieved with my tendency to be very independent. Through his patience, kindness, and quiet support, he’s shown me that sharing isn’t a weakness but a strength. With him, I’ve learned to open up, to let my guard down, and to embrace the beauty of vulnerability.
Now, as we stand on the brink of this new chapter, I’m grateful for every moment that led us here. Our journey together has been filled with love, laughter, and a deep, unspoken understanding. I can’t wait to see what comes next for us, hand in hand, as we continue writing our story together.
In the fall of 2021, I walked into the first day of paramedic school. It did not take long for Dani to catch my eye. Throughout the day, I told my friends there was something about her that I really liked, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. By the third day of class, I figured it out: Dani was incredibly smart, calm, and collected. Not to mention she was beyond confident. She knew exactly what she wanted and didn’t back down from a challenge.
After that first week, our cohort went out to Bully’s Restaurant to get to know each other better. Just my luck, Dani and I ended up sitting together. We talked the entire time. As I left that night, I reflected on our conversations and realized this couldn't be it, and I was right...
It was just the beginning.
Later that week, Dani was named Class President and I was named Class Vice-President. It felt like God had a plan for us.
Over the next few weeks, Dani and I began talking, hanging out, and going to our favorite country line dancing bar. I remember the first time we were there and Dani hopped onto the dance floor with her best friend Eva. I was stunned. They knew every line dance song that came on. It didn’t take long before Dani pulled me onto the dance floor—YES, Dani pulled me onto the dance floor.
From that day forward, I knew I couldn’t let her go.
Within a few months, we were inseparable. Dani became the piece of me I had been missing my entire life. I never imagined that fighting for a spot in paramedic school would lead me to the person of my dreams. I found my person. I am ecstatic for the memories we will make, the friendships we will forge, and the family we will build.
