RSVP

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

We invite you to RSVP online on the designated tab or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with the invitation. Do whatever is easiest for you!

What date should I RSVP by?

This is a destination wedding, so the earlier the better. However, the last date to RSVP is May 24th, 2025.

Airport and Transportation

What airport should we fly into?

Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport (KOA)

Should I have a rental car?

It is not required to have one, but the Big Island is more spread out than the other islands. You can use ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft from Kona Airport to Fairmont Orchid. The distance between the airport and the resort is approximately 22 miles, which takes about 30 minutes. Additionally, Hertz rental service is available on the property at the Fairmont.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Yes. You may either park in self-parking or you may valet your car at the hotel. Your choice!

Accomidations

Where should we stay?

Joshua and Danielle will be staying at the Fairmont Orchid. It is not a requirement to stay at this hotel. However, there is a 40% discount on rooms for those who choose. Please visit our travel tab for more info about hotel accommodations in the area.

About the Wedding

Where is the ceremony and reception?

The ceremony will take place at Turtle Point on the Fairmont Orchid property. The reception will take place at Plantation Estates on the Fairmont Orchid property.

What is the weather like in Hawaii?

Sunny and humid. Temperatures range from 75-85 degrees. Rain is always a possibility, however, it tends to be a sprinkle.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

We are in Hawaii!! This wedding will be outdoors unless severe weather occurs.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Semi-formal / cocktail attire. Men please feel free to wear an appropriate Hawaiian shirt if you want, but we request no shorts.

Where should we bring/send a wedding gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can bring it to the wedding or have it delivered to our home. If you need our address please reach out. A wedding card box will be at our reception as well.

Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?

We ask for no phones or cameras to be out at the ceremony. We have fantastic photographers to capture the moment. We will distribute photos upon request. At the reception, you may take as many pictures or videos as your heart desires.

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Please feel free to post your photos on social media to share the moment.
