Things to Do

CHANDLER

Old Downtown Chandler is another great restaurant district located about 25 minutes from the Mesa Residence Inn. There are great places to check out such as San Tan Brewing, Murphy's Law Irish Pub, Peixoto Coffee, Puro Cigar Bar, or The Stillery. If you have time, you can also go check out the San Tan Distillery in town to see where Arizona's very own vodka, gin, whiskey, bourbon, and beer are made!

GILBERT

Downton Gilbert has a great restaurant district with a wide variety of bars and restaurants to choose from. About 20 minutes away from each hotel recommended, you have great options such as Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row, Snooze AM Eatery, Postino Wine Cafe, Culinary Dropout and O.H.S.O. There is also a Top Golf in Gilbert by SanTan Village. Get some friends together for a friendly (or not so much) competition at this driving range with a full bar and restaurant; don't forget to try the injectable donut holes. Or go check out Fox Cigar Bar for a relaxing time enjoying a good bourbon and a great cigar, just make sure to invite us both!

MESA

The third largest city in the state, Mesa has more than enough restaurants, bars, shops, movie theaters, golf courses, and coffee bars to make anyone happy. If you're a fan of hard cider, you should definitely go check out Cider Corps on Main St & S Robson for some of the best hard cider around. We also recommend everyone head to the new Black Rifle Coffee Company shop by the Phoenix Gateway Airport to get your caffeine fix from the best coffee maker in this country. No we were not paid to say this for them, but if they sponsor the wedding with free coffee, that would be great!

SURROUNDING AREAS

The Phoenix Valley has plenty to offer not just in terms of restaurants and bars, but malls, movie theaters, arcades, local breweries, and indoor gun ranges with rentals available (go ahead and go try out that HK UMP45). Go to a fancy movie theater such as the Majestic in Gilbert where you can relax and order food from your seat. Or head up to Scottsdale to go to Arizona's very own aquarium, OdySea; or pop over to the other side of the 101 from there to go to Medieval Times for a night of jousting and sword fights. There are also plenty of regional and state parks in the area for some hiking, picnics, or bike rides to work off the festivities of the weekend.
