Joey and I met for the first time at Lake Geneva Bible Camp in the summer of 2016. One of the first things I noticed about him was his bright blue eyes and his bubbly personality. At the end of the week we exchanged snapchats and little did we know that’s where our story began. Over the years we stayed connected through texting and snap chatting, not seeing each other much until the summer of 2019. After we started to hang out more frequently, Joey quickly learned that he was in the so called “friend zone” but that didn’t stop him. As I got to know more of Joey, I got to know his heart. He is the most genuine person I have ever met. He radiates kindness and has so much love inside of him. I started to see that Joey had all the qualities in a partner that I had been waiting for. Our first official date Joey took me to the Van Gough Exhibit and just a few days later, he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. This was truly the beginning of our story. I have cherished every moment with him and every journey we have taken since. We are beyond excited to be married and start the rest of our lives together!
