Do I need my passport?
For U.S. citizens traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands, you don’t need a passport. A valid government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, is all you’ll need to enter. Just make sure your ID is up to date/is the REAL ID and you will be all set!
What day should we arrive?
Our wedding festivities will begin on Thursday, June 5th, and conclude on Sunday, June 8th. So please arrive by Thursday afternoon if possible. For those staying at The Hideaway, these are the dates we’ve reserved for your accommodations. We have events planned for each day, and while they are optional for all guests, we kindly ask that you let us know if you plan to attend. This will help us ensure we have an accurate headcount for each event.
What is the dress code for the wedding?
We’re getting married in the sunny paradise of St. Thomas, so expect the temperatures to be warm! For this special occasion, we’d love for you to dress in semi-formal attire. To stay stylish and comfortable in the heat, ladies, opt for flowy dresses that will keep you cool, while guys can go for linen button-down shirts to look nice while staying comfortable.
What time should we arrive at the ceremony?
Shuttles will be provided to the ceremony site, so you can leave the transportation worries to us! We’ll share the shuttle times and details as the date approaches. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony starts to get settled in and enjoy the moment.
Will there be a rehearsal dinner?
Instead of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we’re hosting a catamaran sail on Friday during the day for all guests! We’ll set sail for a fun and scenic adventure, and we’re leaving the evening open for you to explore St. Thomas with your travel companions. See more details under the "Things to Do" tab.
Will there be transportation to and from the airport?
Yes, we’ll have shuttles available to and from the airport. Details about the shuttle schedule and pick-up locations will be provided closer to the date.
What should I pack?
Lightweight, comfortable clothing is essential for the warm and sunny weather. Flowy dresses, linen shirts, and shorts will help keep you cool.
Be sure to pack your swimwear for all the beach and pool fun. A cover-up for lounging by the water is also a good idea.
Comfortable sandals or flip-flops are perfect for daytime activities and beach outings.
For the wedding, we’d love for you to dress in semi-formal attire. Flowy dresses for women and linen button-down shirts for men will keep you stylish and comfortable.
If you plan to join us for the catamaran excursion or any evening events, consider packing something a little dressier for those occasions.
A reusable water bottle is great to stay hydrated while exploring and enjoying the island.
Should we rent a car?
Renting a car is entirely up to you. However, please be aware that in St. Thomas, they drive on the opposite side of the road, which may take a little getting used to. If you’re comfortable with that, having a car can provide extra flexibility to explore the island.
That said, don’t feel like you need to rent a car to have a great time! We have a lot of exciting activities and events planned for all our guests, so you’ll have plenty to enjoy without venturing far. For those who prefer not to rent a car, Uber and taxis are readily available to help you get around.
Are there restaurants nearby if we don’t rent a car?
Yes, there are three excellent restaurants right beside The Hideaway at Hull Bay. You’ll have plenty of delicious dining options just a short walk away. For more recommendations and information, see the "Restaurants" tab on our website.
Is there a gift registry?
While we deeply appreciate the thought, we’re simply thrilled to enjoy each other's presence on our special day. Your presence is our present, and we are so thankful to you all for coming to celebrate with us!
