Q + A

Is there accommodation nearby?

Both Sisters Beach and Boat Harbour are the closest places to stay (each around 5km and a 5 minute drive to the venue). There are numerous AirBnBs and accommodation options, however, both places are very small beach towns so get in quick. There is also plenty of accommodation at Wynyard (15km away).

Can I stay at the venue?

The venue has plenty of space (500 acres) and supports overnight camping, campervans and car camping for anyone interested. The Venue is booked from Wednesday 27th to Friday the 29th November. We appreciate that interstate travel likely means you will not have your camping gear with you, however it is an option for those who are interested, but likely more suitable for locals driving up. There are no shower facilities or power for on site camping (there is a shared toilet you can use).

How long am I expected to stay?

We have designed this wedding to be an adventure for both us and our amazing family and friends. We thought that given many of you are travelling anyway, you could treat it as a holiday and see a bit of the amazing place we fell in love with over the last 4 years. We would love to see as many of you as possible for as long as possible but understand that life is busy! As such, there is no expectation that you stay for the whole time that we have the venue (and we've only catered for you for one night anyway...)

Will there be transport to the wedding?

We will be providing buses to and from Boat Harbour and Sisters Beach (details TBA), please provide us with your accomodation details and whether you require transport to the venue when you RSVP in order for this to be finalised.

What will the Weather be like?

Technically it will be summer, but Tassie Summer means that it could be rain, hail, snow, sunburn.... Tassie Summer in the North West is even less predictable. Either way, you will very likely need a jacket at night. Weather permitting, the ceremony and pre dinner will be outside. The reception will be inside in a shed, so could still be chilly.
