Juan & Libbie met in the fall of 2020 through friends in the SDSU Climbing Club. Here's one of their first pictures together, taken at Palisades State Park.

Juan (yellow helmet) belayed Libbie (maroon helmet) on a spring break climbing trip to Joshua Tree National Park, CA, and Red Rock Canyon, NV.

Juan asked Libbie to be his girlfriend after a cloud passed through them at Estes State Park, CO, and they called their relationship official.

They joined Juan's parents in Spain for a spring break trip and took this picture in front of La Alhambra. During the trip, Libbie tried to learn Spanish while Juan visited with his parents.

They enjoyed a camping trip to Ten Sleep, WY for rock climbing and beautiful hikes, where they encountered moose and many other wonders.

Juan proposed at the top of Crow Peak Trail, Spearfish, SD after a warm winter hike, and Libbie said yes to a lifetime of more adventures with him.
