Freedlander Park is a very popular park that has been around since 1962. This is a great place for holding parties and reunions due to the many activities made available to the public. The park provides 18 holes of disc golf that intertwines throughout the park. Along with disc golf there are three softball fields, basketball court, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits and a fishing pond. For the kids there is a 45,000 square foot pool area along with a 5,000 square foot playground. This park provides you with an eventful day or a way to kick back while the kids expend all their energy. The City is now very proud to offer free public wifi at this park between the hours of 7 AM and 9 PM.
The Farmers' Market in Wooster is an amazing stop for a pre-wedding morning outing. Michael and Julia highly recommend this attraction if you are interested. 2025 dates have not been posted but the first weekend is usually in the middle of May.
The Wayne County Historical Society is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of Wayne County. Founded in 1904, today the Historical Society operates a campus with eight buildings, including a pioneer-era log house, a mid-19th century general store, and the Beall-Stibbs homestead, begun in 1816 and completed in the early 1820s by War of 1812 veteran General Reasin Beall.
A local favorite and close by to St. Mary's.
From their website:
Our doors first opened to the Wooster community in 2012. Since then we have grown in order to further our mission to serve delicious beer. We brew all our beer on site and have a frequently rotating selection of 16 taps. Our beers styles differ by the season and are inspired by American, Belgian, German, British and New World styles alike.ā
ā
For those who don't drink beer, we have a selection of wine, hard seltzer & cider, as well as Coca-Cola products, hot coffee & seltzer water.ā Since we do not have a kitchen we welcome our guests to enjoy BYOF (Bring your own food) style dining. On weekends we have food trucks park next to the taproom, so check out our food truck schedule to see what we have coming up! There are also plenty of nearby dining options customers can order from that will deliver right to our taproom. We kindly ask that you clean up after yourself if you choose to bring food.
