There are multiple options for traveling to Del Norte by flying into various airports.
The largest airports serving the area are Denver and Albuquerque. Del Norte is uniquely located in between Denver and Albuquerque with very beautiful drives each way.
Durango is a good option as a number of major airlines service here. They also offer all the major car rental brands. Starting here allows you to build a vacation and make your way to Del Norte.
Alamosa is the closest airport to us with limited flights each day. It is super convenient to fly in on Southwest as the Denver Air Connection sits at the end of the Southwest terminal. You can schedule pretty tight on the turns.
Book directly with them, not through a broker like Key Lime Air.
If you fly in on another airline, you'll need to deal with bags and running around the expansive Denver airport.

NOTE: DRINK WATER
Wherever you fly from, remember you are arriving in the mountains. You will benefit from drinking lots of water starting the day before you leave, and continuing the next several days to avoid cramping.
Bring your metal water bottles to avoid buying or using plastic ones.
