Mellow Moon Lodge
Designed for people who like to experience the old fashioned motor inn with updated amenities.
The San Luis Valley's Mellow Moon Lodge was renovated to include the angular, mod coolness of its 1940s origin while offering the updated accommodations you crave after you call it a day partying with us or spending time on the nearby river and trails.
Super cool reno - and they have added a breakfast bar and an evening gathering space. This is a really great option and just a few blocks from everything.

Camping at the Festival Grounds!
The wedding ceremony and celebration will be at the Festival Grounds - the same place we camp for Rhythms on the Rio. Using the map above, it is located on the north side of town, where is says "Town Park" - so you head north from town on Rt 112 and make a right after going over the bridge.
If you turn left, it takes you to a parking lot for the Rio Grande and you can access the river for swimming, wave-riding and sunning.
We encourage our western and local friends to think about camping.
This is a beautiful property within walking distance to town and our house on Spruce Street, restaurants and shopping on Grande.
Camping is free and we will provide potties. If you need a shower, ask around for a local to help you get cleaned up!

The Windsor Hotel

But not for dinner reservations.
This is a fully restored old-west hotel on the main street - Grand Ave. Just a few blocks from our house, we spend a fair amount of time here in their back courtyard. They have live music, tables and a food truck for easy gatherings. Sometimes we retreat to the bar inside and continue the fun.
This is one of the places you'll want to reserve dinner.
You'll need to call the desk for your reservation. We're holding the entire hotel.

Vacation Rentals
There are many vacation rentals in the San Luis Valley, but unfortunately not very many in the town of Del Norte.
For a house, we recommend looking at homes in the direction of South Fork (west of town) that are a little closer to the mountains and the rivers. South Fork is only 10-15 minutes away from Del Norte.
Friends and family are renting in the neighborhood shown on the map above - near the Silver Thread Basecamp. There are several families staying here on the river.
A recent look (March30) shows no availability in this neighborhood for the wedding.
So if you want a house that allows pets, and want to stay with others attending the wedding, we have a 3BR/2Bath available.
It will not show as available on rental sites.

If you'd like to rent this cool 3BR/2BATH cabin and share with others, please contact my Uncle Guy. He reserved this house but now his kids aren't coming. So he's moving into town and can't get a refund. Its just 10-12 minutes to Del Norte. River access available for swimming and fishing.
