Julia and David met in 2012 at the Church of Presentation through their siblings and mutual friends. The two of them added each other on social media following a retreat and stayed in touch throughout the remainder of high school and college.

Towards the end of 2020, David and Julia reconnected over social media and went on their first date!

After their first date in December of 2020, Julia and David continued to see each other until making their relationship official on January 27th of 2021. From their first date to now, they have adopted two dogs, a cat, and have purchased their first home together!


On labor day weekend of 2023, David surprised Julia with a weekend away at Lake Placid to celebrate her birthday. While there, David proposed to her at quarter to midnight on the lake, and she said yes!
