Our Wedding

It all began in the summer of 2022, beneath Alaska’s endless skies. Andrew had just been stationed there with the Air Force, and fate brought us together in this place of breathtaking beauty. From our very first adventure, we knew there was something special about us. Together, we explored Alaska’s wild wonders—camping under the stars, fishing by crystal-clear waters, and ATVing through rugged trails. With our three loyal companions, Norman, Willow, and Harley, by our side, our love for the outdoors—and each other—grew stronger with every shared moment. In early 2023, we made our first house a home, laying the foundation for a life we were building together. Just a few months later, we received the most beautiful surprise—we were expecting our first child. That moment came just as Julia celebrated graduating from Southern New Hampshire University, marking the start of an unforgettable chapter. In December 2023, our hearts were forever changed when we welcomed our son, Maddox. He became the center of our world and the greatest expression of our love. This past year has been a beautiful journey of parenthood, laughter, and adventure. From traveling as a family to finding joy in the little things, our bond has only deepened with every step. Then, in November 2024, during a quiet moment before our trip to Hawaii to celebrate Maddox’s first birthday, Andrew asked Julia to be his forever. That “yes” was the culmination of everything we’ve shared and dreamed of together. Our story is one of love, adventure, and the extraordinary joy of building a life together. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you on our wedding day!

While we were unable to reserve a block of hotel rooms due to local limitations, we have compiled a list of nearby accommodations to assist you in planning your stay. There are also tons of beautiful Airbnb’s available in the area, so don’t hesitate to look there!     We recommend booking your accommodations as early as possible to ensure availability. Walk on the magnificent Matanuska Glacier, one of Alaska’s most accessible glaciers. Guided tours are available year-round.

Explore the scenic beauty of Hatcher Pass and visit the historic Independence Mine State Historical Park. You can drive up and see this amazing view and there are several hiking trails along the way.

Visit the Reindeer Farm for a fun, family-friendly experience interacting with reindeer. This is also located on the same road as our wedding venue!
